 Interactive Watersheds Major Features Preview

1/22/08 - Added new Google Earth Tours and Google Earth Tour Gallery

We have added a section to our Gallery called Google Earth Tours and a Google Earth Tour Gallery page for Google Earth KMZ and KML files of projects we have produced and are still developing.

11/10/07 - Finished development of the Pit Resource Conservation District web site

We had developed a web site earlier as part of the Interactive Watersheds project for the Pit River Watershed Alliance. This new Pit RCD web site highlights concerns and projects just within the Pit RCD, one of the RCD's that the Pit River and it's tributaries runs through. The site has excellent before/after monitoring images that are featured in the Photo Gallery multimedia sequences. A Reference Library contains more detailed information about the various projects and links to further resources.

9/30/07 - Finished development of the Portneuf Basin Pulse web site

We worked with Jim Brock at Rapid Creek Research (RCR) to complete a new web site that provides access to monitoring data and information about the Portneuf River Basin in Southeast Idaho. The Portneuf Basin Pulse gives the user several ways to view the data. With RCR's amazing data logging/telemetry technology, users can see up to the minute monitoing results that provide a continuous picture of the health or "pulse" of the river basin.

4/30/07 - Finalized the Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign web site

Over a 2 year period we traveled around the state of Idaho photographying various noxious weed sites for production of the Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign. The Virtual Field Guide includes High Definition immersive panoramas and numerous video clips that describe the weed and the location. The Noxious Weed List section contains even more specific information including high resolution photo gallaries which show the various stages of weed growth and closeups to help with identifying the weed. We will be updating the web site with new weed information, such as the 21 new weeds recently listed as noxious in the state.

3/20/07 - New - Idaho Common Adventure Network (ICAN)

We have started an experimental "Bulletin Board" type of social environmental networking project in Idaho to exchange project ideas, knowledge of resources, and social networking experiences such as Wikis, Blogs, etc. Ning.com is a platform we are using to help us create this network. New features for ICAN will be added as they become available.

3/07 - Katy has developed Alaskan Malamute Rescue web site

Katy Flanagan is volunteering with Moonsong Malamure Rescue and has developed their web site, which is always in an evolving state. She is also trying to photograph as many of the rescue dogs as possible to help with their chance of adoption as well as fostering rescue dogs. You can visit the Moonsong Malamute Rescue web site.
