Historical
Mountain Visions has had a long history of developing special multimedia materials for natural resource groups. These have been used for conferences, traveling presentations, permanent installations in auditoriums and distributed on video tape previous to 1995. Many of the projects noted on this Mountain Visions web site were produced with some aspect of promotion being important. Today, many of these projects are represented by Web sites. However, CD-ROMs are also produced and distributed as needed. We are now also creating video and other material on DVDs which have seven times more storage space for multimedia content than a CD.

During the winter and spring of 1995 we produced what may have been the first web site to document in almost real time Tom Whittaker's attempt to be the first disabled person to climb Mt. Everest. We have continued to work with Tom on web site and multimedia projects and you can visit the links below. We have also created a number of multimedia programs to promote the internationally respected Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Program. (CW Hog)

In 2000, Yellowstone Ecosystem Studies had a need to raise awareness and funds for a new remote sensing system called "Hyperspectral Imaging". Mountain Visions produced a 9 minute program explaining this project and delivered it to YES on CD-ROM. We have transferred this project to a QuickTime file for web use as well.

See also the Watershed Web site links and Educational Links which also have promotional content.
