Prince of Wales Island, Alaska - 12/07
Sal Creek Watershed Restoration (2Mb)- This preliminary Google Earth draft demonstration project begins to examine how a 5 year watershed plan can be visualized using multimedia monitoring photography and video. This draft project shows 1 location of restoration completed in 2006 and 5 locations where restoration work was to be completed in the summer of 2007.

Pit RCD Project Tour - The Pit RCD (Resource Conservation District) has provided 6 restoration project areas on their web site and the locations on this Google Earth tour provides links to those project pages.

Moapa Valley National Wildlife Refuge, Nevada - 9/07
Otis Bay in Google Earth - The founders and employees of Otis Bay Ecological Consultants are dedicated to restoring altered riparian systems to natural, self-sustaining ecosystems to preserve native biological diversity. This Google Earth demonstration contains a few placemarks that will allow you to see locations where Otis Bay has already made significant improvements.

Frank Church Wilderness, Idaho - 9/07
Frank Church Wilderness - in the late 1970's we backpacked about 300 miles through the two large Wilderness Areas in Idaho and have floated the rivers and hiked in the Selway Bitteroot and Frank Church areas many times over the years. Last year we heard about a potential web site conference about the Frank Church Wilderness and agreed to be involved. This project has not materialized yet, but we started to explore Google Earth and the Internet to learn more about the communities and ecological impacts that may influence this spectacular wilderness. This is a work in progress.

Jamaica Protected Areas - This tour lets you explore 11 different Protected areas and 55 panorama locations on the Island of Jamaica. 18 of the panorama locations link to pages with full screen 360 degree views already produced for the Jamaica Protected Areas Trust web site.
