Climb Aconcagua with Tom and Angela

 

November 23 - UPDATE and INVITATION

 

Join Tom Whittaker and Angela Hawse in Argentina this January for theirtraining climb on Aconcagua's Polish Glacier. At 22,835 feet, Aconcaguais the highest mountain in the western hemisphere and one of the covetedseven summits.

Offered through the American Alpine Institute, the 23-day expeditionwill run from January 9-31, 1998. The cost to participants is $2980. AAIrequires that climbers have:

 
1) Experience climbing over 18,000 feet.
 
2) A full repertoire of snow and ice skills and ability to climb 50 degree ice with a 30 pound pack.
 
3) Cold weather camping experience.
 
4) Excellent physical fitness.
