Web Site Address Changes Update, July 8, 1999

Mountain Visions has created a new web site for Tom Whittaker updating all of the information about his successful Everest climb in 1998. Links to the Everest '95 Challenge are also available at this site.

In the Spring of 1996, three more Everest Expeditions reported progress on the World Wide Web. On May 11th, 1996, a vicious storm caught climbers high on the mountain and tragically, ten climbers died. Dramatic rescues were also reported. Tom Whittaker was caught in a similar storm on Mt. Everest in 1989. This story and a chronicle of Tom's involvement in Mt.Everest expeditions is covered in his article "Against All Odds."
