Friends of the San Pedro River

The Friends of the San Pedro River (FSPR), founded in 1987, is a volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting the BLM in its stewardship of the NCA. Volunteers contribute to the conservation, protection and enhancement of the scientific, cultural and recreational resources of the NCA, through educational programs, fund raising, and other volunteer services. Funds generated by the FSPR support programs and projects on the NCA.

The FSPR operates a nature gift and bookstore, assists the BLM in a wide variety of projects, sponsors weekly interpretive walks, guided spring and fall hikes along the San Pedro River and surrounding area, and other events throughout the year. Event information is published in a quarterly newsletter.
