Hereford Bridge Access

Since 1986, when the Bureau of Land Management acquired this 40-mile stretch of the San Pedro River, the river was fenced and excluded from cattle grazing. The river transformed itself from a wide, shallow beat-out stream to a shaded, cool river. The river is now able to withstand floods and provide shade for fish and vital vegetation for migrating birds.
